Helen Salavou is currently an Assistant Professor of Business Administration at the Department of Business Administration of the Athens University of Economics and Business (AUEB). She has completed all her studies at the AUEB whereas part of them was funded by the Greek National Scholarship Foundation (IKY). In particular, she holds a BSc in Business Administration (1993), an MBA (1995) and a PhD titled "Exploring Product Innovativeness Determinants in SMEs" (2002).

Since 1997 Dr. Helen Salavou is an active member of the laboratory of "strategy and entrepreneurship" at the AUEB and has participated in various research projects both at a national and international level.

Her teaching experience comes from undergraduate and postgraduate courses, such as management, strategy and entrepreneurship at the AUEB, Agricultural University of Athens and Hellenic Management Association (EEDE). She also possesses consulting experience with public and private organizations in Greece.

Her main research interests involve innovation, entrepreneurship, social entrepreneurship and strategy. She is one of the founding members of USE (use.aueb.gr), the Unit of Social Entrepreneurship at the AUEB. She has published in several international journals (860 citations) including: Journal of Business Research, European Journal of Marketing, European Business Review, Management Decision, European Journal of Innovation Management, Creativity and Innovation Management. Dr. Helen Salavou has authored a monograph titled Innovation and Change (in Greek) and co-authored books (i.e., the first Greek book on social entrepreneurship in 2014) and published chapters in edited volumes. She has also presented her work in international conferences, such as EMAC (European Marketing Academy) and EIASM (European Institute for Advanced Studies in Management).
